Actual Personality

Strengths: I would say that my strengths include creativity, bravery, resilience, self esteem, and a caring nature. I feel confident in my identity, and my ability to identify and communicate my own emotions. I definitely feel like a responsible person who handles the important things in my life pretty well, and I like to maintain a pretty organized and clean environment. I'm also proficient in a lot of different skills and hobbies, and pride myself in being a well-rounded person in that regard. I am generally kind to people and animals, and others tend to view me as a safe person. I care a lot about my friends, and enjoy making new friends when it isn't too scary.
Weaknesses: My weaknesses include spacial coordination, time management, and self doubt. I definitely have a tendency to become wrapped up in my own little world and become oblivious to the things around me. Sometimes it can be hard to relate to other people, and I have trouble fitting in when I find myself in new social situations. I can get quite anxious about that. I also sometimes struggle with people-pleasing and maintaining boundaries, although I'm getting better at telling people "no" and standing up for myself as I get older. Serious criticism can be a bit hard for me to take emotionally, but I'm much more prone to react with sadness than anger.

Physical Characteristics

Height: 5'8"
Skin color: light neutral
Eye color: dark reddish brown with black flecks. amber in direct sunlight, otherwise they look very dark
Hair color: naturally golden brown, currently plum/maroon
Hair texture: fine and thick, mostly straight with a slight wave
Build: mid sized with wide shoulders, wide hips, and disproportionately long femurs. I used to be very skinny as a kid, and I didn't love it, so I'm glad to have filled out a little over time, although I'm currently a bit too curvy for my liking (shoutout to upcoming top surgery!!!) My legs are much stronger than my arms.
Shoe size: men's 8.5, women's 10.5
Current piercings: first lobes, both rooks, right conch, labret, medusa, septum (stacked x5), high nostrils (10 total)
Retired piercings: second lobes, right helix, both eyebrows (5 total)
Tattoos: (all black) fiddlehead fern on left inner forearm, large ribbon eel wrapping around right forearm, symmetrical lavender design under collarbones, minimalist sunrise on left outer wrist, Wooper on left inner ankle, Tove Jansson illustration of Moomin sitting on the dock by the beach house peacefully (as pictured at the end of the illustrated novel Moominland Midwinter) on left outer bicep
Teeth: fairly straight with a few small chips. I have a large dark grey filling on one of my left molars that broke back in 2021 or 2022. I kept my wisdom teeth.

Style

Always wearing: gold piercing jewelry, a plain gold band on each middle finger. I think the left one is 2mm and the right one is 3mm, or something like that. I used to wear a vintage gold and ruby cocktail ring on my left hand above the plain band every day too, but it was more powerful than the plain band and dented it once, so now I only wear it occasionally. If you look close, you can see the little dent.
Usually wearing: rectangular (book shaped) gold antique locket with 4 photos of my loved ones inside. I wear it on a thin figaro chain. I also usually wear a rectangular Bulova watch with a two-tone metal band. I just looked it up and the face style is called "Sutton." It winds itself automatically from motion, and some of the gears are exposed so it's fun to look at. Although I do need to reset it when I go back to work each week. I should get one of those special motion-charging cases.
Clothing color scheme: black, charcoal, grey, white, ivory, pale blue, navy (moving away from that one though)
Makeup: I haven't really been wearing makeup lately, but when I do, I go for a kind of weird/spooky look with graphic eyeliner, and maybe duochrome eyeshadow. I do like to sharpen up my brows a bit and even out my skin sometimes if either of those are looking wonky.
Work outfit: business casual/corp goth. My favorite outfit to wear is my grey herringbone suit, a black collarless button down, and my black lace-up platform boots. I also have several other suits, but the grey one is just my absolute favorite. I have a couple formal overcoats that I like to wear when it's colder out and I'm not on my bike. I prefer to wear calf-length dress socks with my work clothes. And nowadays I'm wearing a binder to work, but that will change very soon hehheehehehehe........
Casual outfit: jeans or cargo pants, a t shirt or short sleeve button down, and a jacket/flannel/quarter zip is what I usually wear nowadays. If it's cold out, I'll often wear one of my overcoats as well. And of course when I want to feel super cool, I wear my big boots. When I have chinos I wear those, but I don't have any that fit currently.
Home outfit: big t shirt and black, loose pj pants. Sometimes my flannel too if it's cold. I always wear black ankle socks at home, except sometimes when it's super hot out.
Nightlife outfit: strappy black stuff, sometimes a black dress or white skirt. Cyberpunk-looking bodysuits are one of my favorite things to wear when going out to bars/karaoke/dancing/whatever. I haven't been out in a while though! I'm really excited to see how I'll feel comfortable dressing when going out after top surgery!
Accessories: I have multiple hats with cute/fun embroidered designs on them. My favorite right now is this ivory one with Moomin hiking with a backpack on it. I also have a pretty big collection of enamel pins, and whether I'm dressed casually or formally, at least one part of my outfit is usually going to feature a pin or patch somewhere. I've slowly been adding custom embroidery to some of my clothing as well. And I have multiple gold and gemstone rings that I sometimes wear to work or special occasions.
I have a couple silver rings too that I sometimes wear. I don't wear a ton of silver but since my watch is two-tone, I'm trying to be a bit more comfortable with all my metals not matching... I also have a decent amount of pendants, which I layer with my locket sometimes. Most of them are silly ones with black cords and charms that I made myself. Some of my pendants have stones (one is a pretty cool aquamarine and another is a druzy quartz in a pale lavender color), and I have a silver star pendant that a friend of mine who's a silversmith made. My locket and accompanying chain are the only gold gold necklaces I own. I have a couple glass pendants too, my favorite is this weird huge purple eyeball that I got from a glassblower at the Saturday market.
Shoes: dress shoes, Vans/Converse, lace up platform boots, hiking boots, white sandals with little gold hearts, and a pair of knit running shoes. That's pretty much all I have. Ok wait I just remembered I also got a pair of heeled black boot things at a clothing exchange, so those too now! I need to get a new pair of sandals to replace my black slides that just broke (I had them for yeeeeears though, so they did their job). It would be cool to get a pair of slides that I can wear around the house, as well as some Tevas to match Garrett's and move around more reliably. But it's still winter so there's no point in worrying about that stuff now.

Political and Philosophical Views

I would definitely describe my politics as leftist. I believe in humans using our power and resources to secure food, housing, health, and safety for everyone, rather than centralizing power, driving profits, and waging wars. I align myself firmly against the institutions of racism, capitalism, and most forms of hierarchy. I believe in personal freedom and the right to self defense (especially for the most vulnerable people), to the extent that neither of these things fall into the territory of becoming dangerous to others.
I also know that the better our infrastructure and social support systems are, the less of a need there is for criminalization and law enforcement, especially when it comes to issues like drugs and housing. I do think that some degree of basic law enforcement (specifically related to intervention for violence and personal theft) is necessary to have a functioning society (at least on a large scale), but I don't believe in prisons (slavery) or police militarization. I generally believe that when possible, it's better for people to maintain and rely on strong communities for safety than police or government.
I believe that a healthy society has a good balance between collectivism and individualism, and the US leans much too far in the individualist direction, to the detriment of pretty much everyone except the most wealthy and powerful. People should feel comfortable establishing their own identities, and taking accountability for their actions, but we should also act with much more responsibility for the wellbeing of other humans (and animals, and nature) than the current societal norm is tending towards.
I view humans' innate nature as more oriented toward survival and pleasure than goodness or evil, and I think this is a neutral thing, but the more we isolate ourselves from others, the more dangerous it becomes. I strive to view my own wellbeing within the context of a community, and to opt for collaboration rather than competition as much as possible.
When it comes to science and knowledge, I don't think it's necessary to pursue as much knowledge as possible merely for the sake of knowing. For example, I don't think we need to capture wild specimens and dissect every living animal that we find in order to categorize them. The world does not revolve around humans, and we don't have the right to harm it for the pointless pursuit of understanding everything. We also don't need to constantly develop new weapons, or technology that does not add much value to people's lives. The resources invested in these pursuits would be much better spent getting everyone to a safe, healthy, and sustainable standard of living.
